St. Francis Winter Weather Update | January 24, 2026 | 9:45 a.m.

This message is being sent to all team members in the Northeast Louisiana market.

CODE GRAY is now active in the NELA market.

NELA Market Current Status

As you are aware, a winter weather event is now impacting our area. The hospital and emergency room remains open and fully operational. We have adequate supplies available to support both patients and team members throughout this weather event. Also, our facilities team has implemented plans prioritizing the safety of all patients, visitors and team members.

Sleeping Assignments - If needed, report to the Nursing Supervisor's Office for sleeping assignments. Please bring all essential items including a pillow, extra clothing, medications, and personal items. One set of linens will be provided.

Meals - Team members working during the Code Gray will receive a meal ticket to the St. Francis Cafe.

Code Gray Clocking Instructions - When it's necessary to float your rest/sleep time during this Code Gray event, please clock to 401.10321.4555.8507. When on shift, please code to your home department. Activation pay begins when the Code Gray is effective. Click here for clocking instructions.

TV Service - Although we are not anticipating any TV outages during the pending inclement weather this weekend, it is possible that our satellite service could be temporarily impacted. We do have local TV service on channels 53-68 which are not impacted by satellite service outage so our patients and team members can keep up-to-date on the weather by viewing these local TV channels.
